Commissioner of Police, Abia State Police Command, Danladi Isa, on Thursday, held a strategic meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Team Commanders at the Officers’ Mess, Umuahia.
He reiterated that a Special Monitoring Team has been established to oversee and evaluate the activities of officers on duty.
During the meeting, the CP emphasized the importance of officers being proactive and vigilant in ensuring the implementation of security strategies during this Yuletide season.
He stressed the need to prioritize the safety of residents before, during, and after the festivities.
The CP issued a stern warning against unprofessional conduct, including extortion and incivility toward members of the public.
The team, he said, would apprehend any officer who engaged in misconduct or tarnished the image of the Abia State Police Command.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for meaningful contributions and suggestions from officers, focusing on accountability, proper supervision of officers and improved methods to ensure the safety and security of Abia State.
