A Customs officer, Tijani Kabiru, his wife, and four children die as fire engulfed his house in the early hours of Monday 2 December 2924 in Ede, Osun State.
Kabiru was attached to the Oyo/Osun Command,
The fire reportedly started around 2 a.m. at the family’s residence in the Olowopoku area of Ede.
Sources said Kabiru, who was in his late 40s, was asleep alongside his wife and five children when the fire, believed to have originated from the solar panel installed on the roof of the house, engulfed the building.
The devastating incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
A source in the area disclosed: “The fire started around 2:09 am from the roof of the house. An electric spark allegedly from the solar panel attached to the roof caused the fire.
