DAAR Communications To Infuse New Blood into its Management Asks Directors over 10 Years to Quit.

Daar Communications Plc, owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and RayPower,is posed to reposition the outfit to be more profit oriented after the death of it founder Chief Raymond Dokpesi.

The newspot gathered thst the TV wanted to inject new and creative younger blood into his administration.

The Board of Management has decided to retire directors who had spent 10 years and above in executive positions to go on retirement.

A source close to the company told oir correspondent that the retirement would take effect in November.

“About 11 directors that have spent 10 years and above have been asked to go on retirement. One of them is Tosin Dokpesi who is the widow of our founder and chairman Chief Raymond Dokpesi,” our source revealed

He said Mrs Dokpesi might not be affected as she is expected to be given a new role.

Daar Communications founder Raymond Dokpesi died on May 29, 2023.

His son Raymond Dokpesi Jr has been chairman since 2019.

The company recently posted a loss of N1.6 billion for the year ended December 31, 2023.
