It was an exciting occasion on Sunday 26th May, 2024 at OSPDC event centre, Ijapo Akure capital of Ondo Statr where the recipients of various awardees in different categories were duly honoured.
Chief Dr. Anthony Omolola, the President General of the Idanre Development Assembly, IDA and President of Club 66 Idanre was one of the Awardees.
He recieved a Leadership Award in Community Development and Cultural Advocacy, which was in recognition of developmental strides achieved by the Idanre Development Assembly, IDA which was an offshoot of the Committee that successfully organized the 45th Owa of Idanre Coronation Anniversary.
The event was chaired by another Idanre illustrious son, Hon. Festus O. Akingbaso, Member House of Representatives, Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency who was represented by one of his Aides, Kelvin Babalola. Other dignitaries present were representatives of the Governor, Commissioner of Information, Ondo SUBEB chairman, Aralepo of Isinkan kingdom, Doyens of industries, academics amongst them was the Provost of Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, FECA Dr. Akinyemi Fadiyimu, who was the guest speaker.
The Publisher and the organizer of the Event showed their appreciation to the guests and their continuous support for the magazine and the Foundations which have been quite supportive to the indigents and vulnerable people in the society. That was followed by an epical lecture from the Don as he dwelled on Food insecurity : Challenges and Solutions. Reacting the Chairman of the Occasion reacted to the lecture allaying fears that if the right measures are deployed, the listed problems were surmountable.
The Anniversary Brochure was launched with financial support for the foundation. The first tranche of the awardees were presented with plagues and certificates by the Chairman of the occasion while the second tranche were presented by the Alalepo of Isinkan who was also an award recipient too.
Mr. Tunji Akinnadeju stood in for Chief Dr. Anthony Omolola, as he dedicated the award to the Makanre home and abroad for their massive supports for the Assembly as he look forward to their continuous support.
