Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted revealing his Premier League final-day title prediction while attending Tyson Fury’s heavyweight fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

The rich and famous flocked to Saudi Arabia on Saturday night to watch one of the biggest fights of the century as Fury and Usyk competed to be crowned the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world since Lennon Lewis in 1999.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo did not have far to travel as his club since January 2023 – Al-Nassr – are based in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

The 39-year-old was sat ringside alongside British heavyweight contender Anthony Joshua and even at one of the biggest boxing events in history he could not avoid the subject of football.

Ronaldo was filmed chatting to boxing promoter Frank Warren before the bout, when the Queensberry Promotions boss and Arsenal fan joked he was ‘still waiting’ for him to join his beloved Gunners.

The Portuguese legend let out a laugh before leaning towards Warren and saying: ‘They are not going to win the league… oh god!’

Either Manchester City or Arsenal will be crowned Premier League champions on the final day of the season, but Ronaldo is clearly not giving Mikel Arteta’s side much hope.

Man City will clinch a record-breaking fourth successive Premier League title if they beat West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Any slip up would provide Arsenal with a chance to end their 20-year wait for a league title, providing they beat Everton at home.

Ronaldo certainly knows what it takes to take home the Premier League, having won three league titles at Manchester United under legendary Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

No team has sat top of the Premier League on the final day and failed to lift the trophy but Arsenal boss Arteta still has hopes that there could be one last twist in the title race.

‘I do believe,’ said Arteta, who saw his Arsenal team finish second behind Man City last season. ‘We wanted to be in this position.

‘We have earned the right to live a beautiful day in front of our people on Sunday with the hope and big opportunity that we can lift the trophy at the end of the match.

‘We have the possibility to live a beautiful day on Sunday where the dream is still alive and it’s still possible. It’s football; we have to live the moment.’

Since moving to Saudi Arabia at the start of last year, Ronaldo – who played for Real Madrid and Juventus between two stints at Manchester United – has scored 62 goals in 67 games.

But his Al-Nassr side are set to miss out on the Saudi Pro League title as they trail rival Al-Hilal by 12 points with two games remaining.

Ronaldo was not the only big name at the Kingdom Arena for the Fury-Usyk fight, with Brazilian superstar Neymar also in attendance along with boxing legends Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis.
