Nigerians have been urged to be united and join hands with the government to end the present economic crisis and other challenges facing the country.

The General Overseer, Word Bible Church Worldwide, Prophet Julius Babatunde Kumoluyi who gave that advice said the country’s challenges are not only just about leadership but also about followership which he hinged on lack of love among Nigerians.

He made the comments at Igbara-Odo Ekiti, Ekiti State at the weekend after the 2024 annual anointing service of the Ekiti/Ondo zone of the church with the theme: ‘Anointing Brings Uncommon Blessings”.

Prophet Kumoluyi spoke on the Naira appreciation against the US dollar with no significant change in the rising prices of goods and services in Nigeria said, “That is the nature of our country.

“The price of anything that goes up, to come down will be very difficult because of the attitude of our people. We shout about the government being responsible for our challenges as a nation, not everything is from the government.

“Lack of love among the citizenry is responsible for most of these problems we are facing in Nigeria and as a result, these things are bringing retrogression to our country today. President Bola Tinubu and all other leaders cannot do it alone and solve every one of our problems.

“If we are united things will change for the better and go on smoothly. Presently, prices of commodities have skyrocketed and people are shouting and complaining about the situation, but I am believing God and strongly in my heart that with the prayers being offered by the children and men of God for the Country, before the end of the year, things will get back to normal and reprieve will come to Nigerians to live a comfortable life by the grace of God.”

The cleric explained that the government is doing its bit to salvage the situation, “Governments are doing their best to address the situation. A lot of underground works are going on which they are yet to reveal to Nigerians. If they are making any good plan in the pipeline, what they will say is to put your minds at rest, and very soon there will be a turnaround. They will wait until there are positive results and progress regarding their underground works. In a situation where they unveil action plans and nothing positive comes out of it, they know people will start blaming them.

“I have the assurance and the belief that they are working assiduously to see to the progress of the nation and address the present economic hardship and very soon we shall laugh and rejoice.”
