Job Vacancy: Job title: Sales Head – Renewable Energy Business
Job description: – The Sales Head – Renewable Energy Business is responsible for development and management of Solar/Renewable Energy business as the profit centre head.
– S/He is responsible for identifying potential opportunities, implementation of business strategies and work in close coordination with the CEO of the company.
– The role will be based at the company’s head-office in Lagos, Nigeria.
The key responsibilities will include:
– Ensure profitability, quality of product and support services.
– Meet sales budget and on-time execution of all sales activities.
– Identify new business opportunities with focus on EPC projects for solar power solutions
– Identify and select vendors/partners to convert opportunities
– Liaise with Government agencies, funding agencies for regulatory support, project funding, policy framework and promotion of Solar energy to Power/Agricultural/Industrial applications.
– Implement customised renewable and LP Gas to power business projects
– Manage asset ownership (energy as a service) business
– Attend power industry functions, association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
– Identify internal infrastructure to operate business segment with commercial viability.
– Ensuring presentation of proposals is in line with company directives.
– Responsible for correct financial margins in accordance with budgets & correct selection of price mark up for equipment.
– Build and develop a world-class team.
– Co-ordinate with engineering on suppliers, proper installation of the equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
– Co-ordinate with Service Department to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
– Responsible for compliance with ISO system for business process
The Sales Head – Renewable Energy Business will be a member of the leadership team of the company, will report to the CEO directly and independently drive the P&L of the business. The ideal candidate would have:
– At least 12+ years of total experience with last 6 years in a similar role
– Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Post-graduate degree in management
– Prior experience in running a solar power / renewable energy solutions projects
– Excellent communication and value articulation skills
– Sound commercial knowledge
– Eye for detail
– Ability to project manage multiple complex projects
Candidates with prior experience of working in Arica/Middle-east will be given preference.
