The President and the Deputy Secretary General of YKLTF, Otunba Deji Osibogun and Barrister Femi Oniyide paid a courtesy visit to Professor Banji Akintoye in Benin Republic on Tuesday, the 17th of October, 2023.
The purpose of the visit was to invite the erudite professor of history back home to Nigeria, from exile. We strongly believe that the time is rife for us all to restrategise to re-engage Nigeria for the hopes and aspirations of the yoruba populace in view of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
We were warmly received by Baba.
We spoke of the need to develop our land and strengthen them into a united people that will take them out of the shackles of poverty.
It was a very encouraging and passionate discussion with the request that Baba Akintoye to come back home from exile.
He has promised to assiduously consider our request.
We believe we must re-engage Nigeria for a better future entrenched in peace and harmony of our dear people in a renewed hope.
