Fans of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad Friday night, stormed Unity Fountain in the central business district of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, for a candlelight procession in demand of justice over the death of the late singer.

The candlelight procession organised under the aegis of “Mohbad Abuja Fans,” kicked off at exactly 7 pm.

The protesters were dressed in white T-shirts played and danced to the songs of the late artiste, as part of their last respect and tribute.

The candlelight procession was earlier announced by Miss Dikeh, amongst others for 9 pm, but was later adjusted for 7 pm, for security reasons.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command had on Thursday night confirmed that pathologists have concluded the autopsy conducted on Mohbad, while the police await the result.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to PUNCH Metro during a telephone conversation on Thursday.

He said, “Autopsy has been concluded. Awaiting results.” This development followed the exhumation of Mohbad by a combined team of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials.

The police also arrested the nurse who reportedly injected the deceased singer prior to his demise on Tuesday, September 12.

Earlier on, while responding to an enquiry by our correspondent concerning arrests made by the police in connection with the late singer’s death, Hundeyin said, “I can’t answer questions on the arrests yet because I don’t have that update. However, the nurse is in our custody; I can confirm that.”

The late singer and former signee of Marlian Music owned by Naira Marley died at the age of 27 last Tuesday.
