The Opportunity
The post holder, will oversee Child Protection in Emergency (CPiE) and Gender Based Violence in Emergency (GBViE) activities in designated Local Government Areas (LGAs) of North East Nigeria and ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with the agreed workplan. He/she will be providing hands-on guidance, support, mentoring and coaching to CPiE and GBViE frontline staff, Case Workers and PSS volunteers to ensure smooth and quality implementation of child protection and GBV in emergencies project.
About You
We are looking to recruit person (s) with:
- University Degree, in Social Science, Social Work, human rights, law, psychology or related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in child protection work with a humanitarian organisation.
- Solid knowledge base and practical experience in community-based child protection approaches, case management, psychosocial support and child participation methodologies.
- Experience of managing the programme cycle, including assessments and report writing, monitoring of indicators.
- Strong experience and skills in management of people from different backgrounds.
- Experience in building relationships, fostering interagency coordination and experience of representing an organisation to external parties.
- Strong self-starter, able to set up and oversee child protection activities
