Hajiya (Mrs.) A’isha Rufa’i, the Secretary/Director of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board of the Ministry of Interior, CDCFIB is dead.
She was said to have passed on during a brief illness. The President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari is sad at her passing away and has sent letter of condolences to her work place and members of the family.
His message reads:
“PRESIDENT BUHARI MOURNS IMMIGRATION BOARD SECRETARY
President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled the demise of Hajiya (Mrs.) A’isha Rufa’i, the Secretary/Director of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board of the Ministry of Interior, CDCFIB.
The late A’isha received the commendation of Ogbeni Ra’uf Aregbesola, the Minister of Interior for her “commitment and dedication to duty,” describing her as “an example” while urging the Federal Civil Service to “assign her a higher responsibility” when the Minister recommissioned the CDCFIB headquarters upon its redesign and rehabilitation by the late Secretary.
Expressing his deep sorrow and grief, President Buhari recalled the contribution of the deceased to the Federal Civil Service as an organizer and effective administrator in all her previous roles.
He prayed for the repose of her soul and fortitude for her larger family members in Kano to bear the loss.
