— Community-level health delivery gets major boost under Makinde’s administration

IBADAN — In a bold move to strengthen grassroots healthcare delivery, the Oyo State Government has launched the second phase of its revitalization of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), upgrading 66 facilities across all 33 Local Government Areas of the state.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, who supervised the distribution of medical equipment at one of the upgraded centres in Ibadan on Tuesday, stated that the initiative was part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s ongoing Omituntun 2.0 agenda to ensure improved healthcare access at the community level.

This second phase comes on the heels of the renovation of over 200 PHCs in the previous phase. The current phase involves the provision of advanced medical tools and sustainable infrastructure, including 10KVA solar inverter systems to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply.
