The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has suspended its chairman, Bala Mande over alleged anti-party activities.
This was contained in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Abba Bello.
The statement said the embattled chairman was suspended for his role in anti-party activities.
It said Mande has been conducting the affairs of the party without the involvement of the State Working Committee, and the leaders of the party.
“This is to inform the general public, and supporters of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that the State Chairman of our party, Colonel Bala Mande (rtd) has been suspended for anti-party activities”.
“This becomes necessary owing to the fact that the Chairman has been conducting the affairs of the party without the involvement of the State Working Committee, and the leader of the party which is a flagrant violation of the constitution of our party”.
“The suspension has become necessary to forestall the abuse of power and offending the constitution of the party”.
“The suspension is for a period of one month to allow the Working Committee constitute a panel of inquiry into the allegations”
