Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, the House of Representatives member representing Maru and Bungudu local government areas in Zamfara State, has successfully completed the construction of a Juma’at Mosque in Kekun Waje village. This landmark project, commissioned on Wednesday, is valued at N200 million.
The new mosque not only serves as a spiritual center but also features modern amenities, including well-equipped toilets, to accommodate the worshippers comfortably. This initiative reflects Hon. Zubairu’s commitment to enhancing the religious and social welfare of his constituents.
Ibrahim Umar, the state secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), represented Hon. Zubairu at the mosque’s inauguration. He highlighted the lawmaker’s dedication to community development, noting that in addition to the mosque, Hon. Zubairu has been instrumental in constructing three classroom blocks in Kadauri village, installing nine solar motorized boreholes, and providing 210 hand pump boreholes across the 21 political wards in the constituency. These projects aim to ensure access to potable water and improve educational facilities for the local populace.
Furthermore, Hon. Zubairu has contributed to the electrification of Bungudu town with 508 solar streetlights and has facilitated the connection of Ruggar Kaya community to the national grid, showcasing his efforts to uplift the living standards of his constituents over his two-year tenure.
Such initiatives are part of Hon. Zubairu’s broader strategy to empower and support his community, aligning with his vision of comprehensive development and welfare enhancement.
