Former WWE superstars the IIconics have announced their next big move and they’ll be dropping their debut single next month.

Aussie duo Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee – known as Billie Kay and Peyton Royce before getting released from the company – have teamed up with Harley Cameron on new song The IInspiration, and it’s available to pre-save before it drops on October 20.

In a tweet announcing the exciting news, Jessie wrote: ‘We worked with such an incredibly talented team on this song. Can’t wait for you guys to hear it!!’

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – who also launched the Off Her Chops podcast together shortly after leaving WWE – are noted as featured artists on the track, with Jessica credited as Jessie McKay.

The IInspiration looks to also be their new name as a duo as they look to the future, and they’ll be hitting the road for a special tour.

Dates and cities are yet to be confirmed, but it’s clear the pair are making moves, with fans excited to see what’s next.

Announcing the live run, Jessica tweeted: ‘Finally, IInspiration returns to professional wrestling. @CassieLee and @JessicaMcKay present The IInspiration Tour. Dates and cities to be announced soon.’

The lifelong friends signed with WWE in 2015 and teamed together until their split in 2020, with the decision to break them up slated by fans with many placing the blame on the creative team.

However, last month Cassie told the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast: ‘So I have never told anyone this and I hope Jess isn’t upset with me for saying this, but I wanted to go singles.

‘There was just things I wanted to tick off of my bucket list as a singles competitor. I vocalised that to Jess in January last year. I didn’t do anything about it, I just told her where I was at, I didn’t try and get us broken up or something like that.

‘It was during the PC era and Jess was out for a week, I had this random singles match, I don’t even remember who it was against. Vince loved it, he said to me “You’re so good, what are we doing?”

‘I just said to him, “Look. If it is possible in future plans, I’m not saying right now, but in the future I would like to see what I can do on my own.”

‘I am so comfortable with Jess, we can conquer the world together. But I wanted to see what I can do for myself.’
