Winners emerge in secondary schools bible competition

The Bible Society of Nigeria on Friday held its 19th Secondary Schools Bible Competition in Lagos.

The event was held at Igbobi College, Yaba, and was graced by secondary school pupils from different regions in the country.

Some of the schools included the LCCN Cathedral Academy, Adamawa; Mary Slessor Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools, Port Harcourt; Joy International College, Kaduna; Holy Trinity Mission School, Kano; Baptist Model High School, Oyo; Arcdeacon Denis Foundation International School and Penny International College, Lagos.

Others included Command Day Secondary School, Higher Ground College, Methodist Girls School, New Estate Baptist School, The Legend College, Igbobi College Yaba, Wesley Girls Yaba, Agape Comprehensive College,.all in Lagos.

The participating students were asked questions about the Bible to test their knowledge of the Holy Book.

Scores were given for correct answers and at the end of the two rounds of the competition, Penny International College emerged winner.

In second place was Arcdeacon Denis Foundation International School while Baptist Model High School came third.

The participating students were rewarded with books, school bags, medals, trophies, certificates and cash to encourage them.
