“Why is your wife taking your plate to the kitchen? Don’t you have hands?” – 4-year-old girl queries her father

A Nigerian woman has revealed the shocking and unexpected question her four-year-old daughter asked her husband recently.

Taking to Twitter, @olori_lilian disclosed that her daughter tackled her father for not taking his plate to the kitchen after eating, and instead waiting for his wife to clear his table.

The woman described her daughter as a feminist for seemingly advocating for gender equality and opposing gender roles.

She tweeted on Thursday, May 4,

“My people, I don born feminist ooo

My 4 year old daughter to my husband

Why is your wife taking your plate to the kitchen for you? Don’t you have your own hand?”

The tweet has sparked a huge discourse on social media about the manners and conducts of children of this age, fondly called Gen Alpha.

Another Twitter user, who weighed into the conversation, shared an experience with his niece that left him dumbfounded.

He wrote,

“I never miss an opportunity to tell how this visitor asked my niece to get her phone that was plugged. My left handed niece handed it to her with her left hand. The woman told her to use her right hand and she went went back, plugged the phone and continued with her cartoon.”
