Alisson has been ruled out of Liverpool’s Premier League match against Everton on Wednesday night.

The 32-year-old was forced off during Brazil’s 2-1 win against Colombia during the international break after clashing heads with Davinson Sanchez.

The Liverpool goalkeeper subsequently returned to the UK and missed Brazil’s 4-1 defeat to Argentina.

Brazil’s medical team revealed that Alisson had ‘minor complaints’ after the head collision and was substituted due to suspected concussion.

Alisson was pictured during Monday’s training session with Liverpool but he has failed to make the matchday squad for Everton’s visit to Anfield.

It’s understood that Alisson’s absence is due to the Brazilian failing a concussion test in the lead-up to tonight’s game.

Caoimhin Kelleher replaces Alisson to make his ninth Premier League start of the season.

Elsewhere, both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Bradley are unavailable, meaning that Curtis Jones is set to deputise at right-back.

A win for Liverpool in the final Merseyside derby of the season a 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League for Arne Slot’s side.

Everton, meanwhile, are 17 points clear of the relegation zone and a win over Liverpool tonight would lift them into 13th place, level on points with Manchester United but ahead on goal difference.
