Where to watch the Qatar World Cup 2022 in London | Football

You’ve probably worked out by now that the World Cup 2022 will feel a little different compared to previous editions.

The Qatar tournament is taking place in winter which means that football fans face a chilly time watching the action out and about in pubs and clubs.

But the fall in the mercury won’t stop thousands of people flocking to watch the games at some of the capital’s favourite big screen locations.

Metro.co.uk has rounded up the best locations you can watch the World Cup in London over the next four weeks.

Vauxhall Food and Beer Garden

One of London’s biggest outdoor beer garden will show every minute of every game throughout the tournament.

The heated and covered venue has three huge LED screens with several smaller ones situated throughout the garden as well as two bars, international street food and live entertainment.

Tickets start at £6, with three packages on offer which all include entrance, a table and drinks.

Electric Brixton

The biggest fanzone in Brixton will feature a world class sound system, DJ’s and 4K projectors and screens.

The event is standing only but VIP and table packages will be available for larger and corporate groups.

The venue will be open for all group games including every England fixture in the knockout rounds and will open 90 minutes before kick-off.

England World Cup fixtures:

  • England vs Iran: Monday, November 21 at 1pm
  • England vs USA: Friday, November 25 at 7pm
  • Wales vs England: Tuesday, November 29 at 7pm

Boxpark

All three Boxpark venues at Shoreditch, Croydon and Wembley are showing every game at Qatar 2022, which have become popular destinations for fans wishing to catch the action and soak up the atmosphere in previous tournaments.

The events will open four hours before matches start with admission open up to 90 minutes before kick-off.

Boxpark will be a ticketed event but walk-in may be available for screening which are not sold out.

Belushi’s Bars

Belushi’s will live stream every single match at the tournament in HD.

The World Cup Main Event Package for England games, at £40 per person, includes entry, table service, a burger and two drink tokens.

The World Cup Caged Booth package, at £50 per person, contains entry, table service, a private screen, a burger and three drink tokens.

Camden Beer Hall

Camden Beer Hall has at least 10 big screens with both indoor and heated outdoor seating available.

The 500 capacity venue will show every England match live and has 24 taps of fresh beer on draft.

As part of their Camden Fresh Legs initiative, fans will receive a free pint if a substitute scores during the game.

Flat Iron Square, London Bridge

The outdoor seating at Flat Iron Square is roofed and the venue also features an indoor taproom if the cold gets too much to bear.

The food traders at the site include Good Slice pizza, Gamekeeper BBQ, and Streat Arepas.

There are only now a handful of tickets left for the England games but all other World Cup fixtures are non-ticketed but tables can be booked in advance.

BUDX FIFA Fan Festival

The official fan festival with giant Ultra HD screens will take place on Tottenham Court Road at the Outernet hub on November 21, 25 and 29 and December 3 and 4.

FIFA say the event will include ‘state-of-the-art facilities with projection capabilities and a high-energy environment – the best match-viewing experience outside of Qatar.’

The screenings will include live music from the likes of Wilkinson, SIGMA and Jonas Blue and guest appearances from football legends Teddy Sheringham, David Seaman and John Barnes.
