The Europa League group stage is drawing to a close for another season, with just one round of matches still to play on Thursday evening.

Teams across Europe will be battling to finish in the top two places in their groups to keep their Europa League dreams alive.

The teams finishing first in the groups will receive a bye for the next round, whilst those ending up in second will be placed in the Europa League play-off draw.

But when exactly is the Europa League play-off draw, what TV channel is it on and how does it work?

When is the Europa League play-off draw?

The Europa League play-off draw is being held on Monday, November 7 at 12pm.

The draw will be staged at the House of European Football at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

How to watch the draw on TV

The Europa League play-off draw will be shown live in the UK on BT Sport 1, with coverage beginning at noon.

How does the draw work?

The eight runners-up from the Europa League group stage will be drawn against one of the eight third placed teams from the Champions League group stage.

The Europa League group stage winners will not play in the play-off round and will instead be given a bye straight to the round of 16 stage.

Teams from the same country cannot be drawn against one another.

Which teams are in the draw?

The draw will comprise of 16 teams, with eight teams dropping down from the Champions League facing the Europa League group runners up.

Five teams have already been confirmed for the play-off draw, with the remaining places to be determined after the conclusion of the European fixtures on Wednesday and Thursday.

If either of Manchester United or Arsenal finish second in their group, then they will be in the play-off draw on Monday.

When are the Europa League play-off matches?

The first legs of the Europa League play-off round will take place on February 16, 2023.

The second legs will be played a week later on February 23.
