Gareth Southgate has named his final England squad for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
As well as the usual suspects, Southgate has named Leicester midfielder James Maddison, Newcastle striker Callum Wilson and Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher on the final list.
Kyle Walker has recovered from injury to make the squad while Marcus Rashford has been rewarded for his strong club form with a place on the plane.
But when exactly is England’s first match at the World Cup and who do they play?
Read on to find out the date, start time and how to watch on TV.
When is England’s first match at the World Cup?
England’s first game at the World Cup will be against Iran on Monday, November 21 at 1pm.
The Group B match will be held at the 45,000 capacity Khalifa International Stadium in the capital Doha and it will be just the second day of competition.
This will be the first time the Three Lions will have faced Iran in a senior competitive match.
Their opponents are ranked 20th in the official FIFA World Rankings and are managed by former Manchester United assistant coach Carlos Queiroz.
What are the rest of England’s group stage fixtures?
After the opening match with Iran, England will have a four day turn around until they are next in action against the USA on Friday, November 25, with kick-off at 7pm.
England are yet to beat the Americans in a World Cup match, losing 1-0 in June 1950 and drawing 1-1 60 years later in South Africa.
England will conclude their group stage fixture list with a ‘Battle of Britain’ clash against Wales on Tuesday, November 29 at 7pm.
The two home nations have never faced one another in a World Cup, but the Three Lions did emerge victorious from their Euro 2016 encounter six years ago with a 2-1 win.
What TV channel will the game be on?
England’s first match in Qatar will be shown live on BBC One in the UK.
The fixture with the Iranians will also be available to stream on the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer.
The match will be available to listen to on both BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT.
