The opening ceremony for Qatar 2022 will take place today (Sunday, November 20) around 2.30pm GMT.
The show will be held at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, just over an hour before Qatar face Ecuador in the first match of the tournament at 4pm.

A number of artists have been touted to turn up in Qatar – including BTS, Nicki Minaj, and Robbie Williams.
