Real Madrid vs Barcelona is one of the biggest fixtures in world sport – and their latest meeting this evening will once again draw in millions of viewers around the globe.

The two Spanish titans will temporarily put their La Liga title battle on hold with Thursday’s El Clasico seeing them contest the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.

Barcelona are without a win in their last two games having been knocked out of the Europa League by Manchester United, before falling to a shock defeat against Almeria in the league on Sunday.

Los Blancos were held to a draw by city rivals Atletico the day before, but will still be buoyed by the incredible 5-2 win over Liverpool in the Champions League last week.

What time does the game kick-off?

Real Madrid vs Barcelona will kick off tonight (Thursday, March 2) at 8pm UK time.

The Santiago Bernabeu will be the venue for the game, with the return leg at Camp Nou scheduled for April 5.

How to watch Real Madrid vs Barcelona on TV and live stream

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 1 in the UK, with coverage getting underway from 7.45pm.

BT Sport customers will be able to live stream the game on the BT Sport web player and app.

Those without a BT Sport subscription can still watch the clash by purchasing a BT Sport monthly pass from £29.99, with the action available to watch on the web player and app.

What is the team news?

David Alaba is expected to be out for around a month after injuring his hamstring against Liverpool.

Luka Modric is ruled out of Madrid’s next La Liga match after picking up a yellow card in the Madrid derby, but the suspension does not apply to the Copa del Rey and so he is available to manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Robert Lewandowski is missing with a hamstring injury, while Pedri and Ousmane Dembele remain sidelined with thigh complaints.
