Head of Service of the Federation, HCSF, Mrs Esther Walson-Jack, has encouraged the newly appointed Directors to align their efforts with the vision of the Tinubu administration.

She said their new positions should inspire them to innovate, collaborate, and lead with purpose in the execution of their duties.

Walson-Jack spoke at the induction of newly promoted Directors in Abuja on Tuesday.

The HoS noted that the induction took place at a pivotal time for the Federal Civil Service as 2025 marks the final year of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025 (FCSSIP25).

“It is imperative that we collectively work towards achieving the full implementation of these transformative reforms,” she said.

She announced that “2025: Year of Accomplishments,” is the slogan for the civil service for this year:

“As you step into your roles as Directors, I encourage you to embody the core values of FCSSIP25: accountability, meritocracy, professionalism, loyalty, and efficiency. These principles are the foundation of a responsive, transparent, and forward-thinking Civil Service.

“By upholding these values, you will not only enhance the credibility of the Service but also inspire confidence among the citizens we are privileged to serve.

“As newly promoted Directors, your roles are critical in driving the reforms and ensuring that the Civil Service remains a model of professionalism, efficiency, and integrity.

“You are leaders now, and leadership comes with the responsibility to inspire, mentor, and deliver tangible results. Your actions will significantly impact the lives of millions of Nigerians who depend on the effectiveness of the Civil Service.

“You are now assuming a critical responsibility in shaping the trajectory of our nation’s public administration. The Civil Service, as the backbone of government operations, plays a pivotal role in implementing policies, delivering public services and ensuring that the machinery of government runs efficiently and effectively.

“This induction is not just an introductory session but a key investment in your future and in the future of the Civil Service. It is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge, skills and insights to function effectively in your new roles. You will learn about the policies and strategic priorities of the Federal Government, as well as the core values and ethical standards that define the Nigerian Civil Service.

”Through this training, we aim to ensure that you understand the critical expectations placed on you as Directors and that you are fully equipped to manage the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

“As Directors, you are now leaders in the Civil Service. Leadership is not just about managing people; it is about leading with integrity, accountability and transparency. You are the stewards of public trust and your actions will directly affect the lives of millions of Nigerians.
