Randy Waldrum hopes he will get the chance to keep managing the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Waldrum has come under intense criticism following the Super Falcons poor outing at the 2024 Olympic Games.

The nine-time African champions lost all three group games against Brazil, Spain and Japan in the women’s football event.

The Super Falcons scored one goal and conceded five.

The American however expressed his desire to keep his job and stay on until the next Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

“I would like to [stay on],” Waldrum told ESPN.

“I love the team. I love the direction that we’re headed. After a rough start here, I think we’re headed in a good direction.

“There’s a lot of upcoming talent as we start to move some of the older players out after the Olympics and bring some young talent in. I think we can accomplish great things in the next level.”
