Former Premier League star, Chris Sutton has slammed Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes for his criticism of younger team-mate, Alejandro Garnacho.
Fernandes had criticised Garnacho, saying the youngster did not have the right attitude after the Red Devils defeated Real Sociedad 1-0 in the Europa League on Thursday.
Garnacho delivered an impressive performance and scored United’s winner in Spain.
The 18-year-old has barely featured for United this season and Fernandes said he has a very bad attitude.
And when asked about Fernandes’ comments, Sutton told BT Sport: “Totally unnecessary.
“The message which I think Erik ten Hag wants coming out of Manchester United is that it’s harmonious.
“I was really surprised at that. He could’ve used a different language.
“I don’t get that from Bruno. He’s better than that.”
