Two persons have reportedly died in a mysterious manner, while two others are said to be hospitalised in Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The cause of the deaths is still unknown at the time of this report.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the story in a WhatsApp message sent to our correspondent.
The police spokesperson noted that the four boys were friends living together when the incident occurred three nights ago.
According to SP Edafe, “We don’t know what happened to all of them at night. Two died, and two narrowly escaped death. It took over three days before they regained consciousness in the hospital.”
“I know where this rumor that he used the two of them for rituals is coming from, but I don’t know where it’s coming from.”
SP Edafe added, “For now, we don’t know the cause of death. The other ones in the hospital are just getting themselves now to start talking. We don’t know what transpired for now. We are still investigating.”
