Trent Alexander-Arnold has named Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham forward Son Heung-min as the two players he would sign for Liverpool on FIFA Career Mode.

The Reds are battling it out with City and Chelsea in an enthralling title race, with Pep Guardiola’s side top of the table at Christmas.

The Premier League champions are on 44 points after 18 games, with Liverpool three behind them in second and Chelsea further back on 38.

The January transfer window represents the opportunity for clubs to bolster their squads ahead of what could be a tightly-contested run-in.

When given the scenario of signing two players with an unlimited budget on FIFA’s popular Career Mode, Alexander-Arnold picked out two of the English top flight’s finest talents.

‘De Bruyne and Son,’ the Liverpool full-back told the Premier League’s official YouTube channel.

‘De Bruyne because I admire him a lot as a player.

‘His vision, his technique, his accuracy. Outstanding player. The assists and the chances created he does is frightening.

‘Son, again, an outstanding player. The speed, finishing and composure.’
