Inter Milan have said that they are evaluating the possibility of signing Romelu Lukaku outright from Chelsea.
The Italian side noted that the Blues no longer want to send the Belgium international on loan but want outright buyers.
Lukaku, who spent last season at Inter Milan, has expressed his desire to remain in Italy.
The former Manchester United and Everton striker is unlikely to have a future at Stamford Bridge, following the end of his loan spell at the San Siro.
“Lukaku is one of our important objectives,” Ausilio said.
According to him: “The whole sporting department wants him at Inter. But for now, he’s a Chelsea player. The dialogue remains open. They don’t want to send the player on loan. They said we must buy him. So we are now evaluating whether there is a possibility to sign him outright. Let’s see if we can find a solution.”
