Chelsea are close to completing a £45million deal for Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise after he opted for the Blues ahead of Premier League champions Manchester City, according to the Evening Standard.
The Blues are close to agreeing personal terms with Olise, who is currently injured and will not return to action for Palace for another six weeks.
Olise came through Chelsea’s academy, and he’s keen to stay in London.
He was Crystal Palace’s Player of the Season last season.
The 21-year-old winger provided 11 assists and scored two goals for Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wanted Olise to replace Riyad Mahrez, who recently left Etihad for Saudi Arabia.
But according to the aforementioned source, Olise could be set to move to Stamford Bridge ahead of Etihad.
