In the hustle of daily life, it’s super easy to forget about the things that are actually going well, right? We tend to focus on our failures, complaints, and what’s missing from our lives instead of noticing the good stuff that’s right in front of us.
Most of us are definitely been guilty of this—it’s something we talked about, but it’s worth revisiting because it’s a habit that can quietly drain your happiness, hope , faith and courage .
Let’s just say it took a mini-burnout for you to realize that savoring your current blessings was just as important as striving for new ones.
Indeed, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. It also help to build a strong future .
Nowadays, one way I keep myself on track is by taking a moment every morning to list a few things I’m grateful for. It could be something as small as a warm cup of tea in the morning or as big as being able to create a living I love. By focusing on the good in my life, I shift my perspective—and suddenly, “normal” starts to look a lot more meaningful.
As Lao Tzu once said, “When you realize nothing is lacking, the whole world belongs to you.” While I’m far from attaining that level of zen every day, simply pausing to acknowledge that I do have enough (and in many ways, more than enough) transforms the way I see my life.
It might just do the same for you.
You have to believe in yourself when no one else does. When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go. The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it’s all that matters. Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come without leaving happier. Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying. You’ve got to be in it to win it. It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop. Find out who you are and do it on purpose.
Promise yourself and life that : You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
Have a great weekend!
