Tinubu appoints substantive Postmaster General, CEOs of key communications agencies

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new and returning Chief Executives to fresh terms across multiple agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy:

Among the new appointees are:

EVC/CEO, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) — Aminu Maida,

MD/CEO, Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) — Nkechi Egerton-Idehen

DG/CEO, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA)—Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi

National Commissioner/CEO, Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)—Dr Vincent Olatunji

Postmaster General/CEO, Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) — Tola Odeyemi

A statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, noted that the new appointments were in line with President Bola Tinubu’s determination to maximally leverage Nigeria’s proven technological and digital economic prowess to reposition the nation’s economy towards greater financial inclusion.

He said the President also approved the appointment of Idris Alubankudi as the new Special Adviser on Technology and Digital Economy.

He noted that, by this directive of the President, the appointments take immediate effect.
