After a poor campaign at the 2022 Qatar World Cup that saw Belgium knocked out of the group stage, Chelsea loanee, Romelu Lukaku, has found his footing once more. Arsenal legend and football pundit, Thierry Henry, expressed his happiness at the return of form of the left-footed striker.

In his post-match speech, Henry told CBS Sports, “Why I am happy with him is that after the World Cup, it wasn’t easy. But he came back and it’s the first time I saw him like that against proper adversity when he’s slowly but surely coming back and showing he can deliver no matter what – even when everyone is against him.”

“That is a sign of greatness. Hopefully, whoever you meet in the final, you can have a good game and you guys can hopefully win it and I will be happy for you.”

Lukaku, who is a loanee from Chelsea, has registered 12 goals and given 6 assists in 32 appearances. His side, Inter, won 5-0 on aggregate against arch-rival, AC Milan, in the Champions League semi-final.
