The first Catholic candidate ever elected President of the United States was the handsome and charismatic John F. Kennedy who had made his debut at the age of 39 as a nominee for VP, which he narrowly missed only to be anointed his Party’s nominee and was elected President few years later at the young age of 42.
Youthful Bill Clinton was elected President at 43. Barrack Hussein Obama at 46 had emerged a serious but unlikely contender for President as the first Black male President of the United States following his amazingly eloquent keynote address at the Democratic Convention for Senator John Kerry. That once- in- a- lifetime eloquence and charisma had catapulted him to being elected President in 2008 in an Election that surprised the whole world.
Kamala is on the verge of another History-making election by riding high on the shoulders of women aspirants like Shirley Chisholm, Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Rodman Clinton all of whom ran but fell short.
The emergence of Kamala as the second serious contender for President did not come by accident.
It was a carefully charted odyssey that God Almighty has ordained.
Kamala, the daughter of two intellectual giants has risen from a Court Room Prosecutor to District Attorney and then to the Attorney General of California State.
She has risen from there to be elected U.S. Senator in succession to Barbara Boxer and then to Vice President and now to the Democratic nominee for President in a miraculous circumstance that nobody could have predicted 3 months ago.
While JFK, Barrack Obama and Chisholm had to go thru the long and capital intensive and draining Primary Process to get nominated, God in his infinite mercy, had made it possible for Kamala to bypass the long Primary Process and to deliver the nomination to her on a platter of gold.
She was nominated as a sitting Vice President with all the perquisites of office that go with that position. The development had made it possible for her to raise millions for her campaign and to travel around the country as an incumbent Vice President with a free access in her own right to Air Force 2 while taking over the Campaign team and the Organization skill and capabilities and a War Chest her boss the President of the United States had passed on to her after voluntarily dropping out of the race. if you are ordained by Godto be something in life, no rabble rouser can take it away from you.
Kamala had become by acclamation and consensus the presumptive Democratic nominee for President in 2024 on a platter of gold and without dropping a sweat. Donald Trump calling her names is just wasting his time and making more enemies for himself. Kamala is a fare more intelligent person than Donald Trump could ever be.
I went into all of these details to explain the divine intervention of God in the emergence of Kamala Harris as the elect of God In fulfillment of her Destiny as a child of History, if you can believe that.
I would now go ahead to explain how God has helped to position Kamala to where she is today in the political History of America.
The unfolding drama had started when Donald Trump who is long past his prime at 78 had decided to challenge a sitting President who at 81 knew it was time to let go and to pass on the torch to a younger generation but he initially chose to stay on for a second term because he believed he was the only one who could easily beat Donald Trump who had promised to end Democracy in America while installing himself as a Dictator from Day One.
The two Methuselah gladiators held their disastrous first debate on June 27 which revealed that the two of them were just too senile to be President for 4 more years but it was Joe Biden that had a particularly rough night in the debate even though Donald Trump had also performed poorly lying his way out of trouble and making up stories and ridiculing and insulting Joe Biden all night and taking undue advantage of Biden to a point that it became very clear to Biden’s supporters that Age has taken its toll on Biden and that he needed to be persuaded to drop out of the race and to pass on the torch to a younger candidate.
Joe Biden a great patriot had voluntarily decided to drop out and to nominate his Vice President who was accepted by acclamation and consensus because the great majority of the voters trusted Biden more than they do Donald Trump.
The move had immediately changed the trajectory of the race in a way that nobody could have predicted only a few months back. The vibes and the enthusiasm for Kamala are palpable and hitting the roof for all to see.
Pundits who suggest that the two oldest candidates to ever run for President since Ronald Reagan ought to drop out and pass on the Barton to the younger generation, are damn right.
Joe Biden who has been in the Public Arena for 50 years without blemish, was persuaded to put his country first but 78 year old Donald Trump who wanted to be President to stay out of jail was not so inclined.
He was happy to see Biden drop out but did not anticipate what he got in Kamala and the American Coach per excellence.
Narcissist Donald Trump who only love his country only when he wins and who wrongly believes he is the smartest man in the world and who as a leader does not make a mistake or listen to anyone other than to his own heart, had refused to drop out which is good for Kamala
A candidate like Nickey Haley or Desantis would have given the Republican a possible shot at keeping the race close but attention- seeking Donald Trump would not let them steal the spotlight away from him because he is just too full of himself as an unrepentant tyrant who sees himself as the only one who can fix America.
Kamala is therefore lucky and better equipped to be President as a running mate to Joe Biden. She was tailor-made by God and by her Destiny to be President having served her pupillage under Joe Biden for 4 years and was ready to step into the giant shoes of the great President.
Kamala’s selection of Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota as running mate was in many ways the perfect choice, far better than choosing a Josh Shapiro or any of the other candidates she could have chosen. It was a masterful job and the choice was praised as such nation-wide.
Every attempt by Trump to demonize Kamala has so far fallen on deaf ears, and has over time done more damage to the empty barrel of a lunatic who had chosen to go for J.D. Vance as his own running mate.
The odds are so stacked against both of them as reminded us by Conservative lawyer George Conway and Anthony Scaramucci a former Trumpist who had fallen out of favor with Donald Trump and are actively supporting Kamala as we speak.
The Chicago Convention which would have been a total disaster or nightmare now promises to be a Carnival and a Coronation never before witnessed in America.
The Democrats are fat more united and joyful today and are more poised to make History with 4 of their former Presidents namely Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barrack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden joining in the Coronation either by Zoom for 90 year old Carter and the physical participation of the remaining three surviving Presidents who are all rooting for Kamala and Tim Walz.
We could all say of the pending Convention starting on August 19 in Chicago that the gods of fortune are all siding with Kamala and the Democrats.
“The Convention is going to be a colorful and unique Day the Lord has made. We should all rejoice and be glad in it” as Kamala Harris and Tim Walz ride the Unity train from Chicago to a landslide victory on November 5.
I must not end this article without adding a note of caution to the millions of the fans of this column in Nigeria and all over the world.
The prediction of a victory for Kamala and Tim Walz and the Democrats in general in the coming election is not only due to the God factor and Destiny.
It is a lot more than that. It is a factor of the hard work put into the race first by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who in 4 years had prepared the Democrats a very sound record to run on that Is far superior to anything Donald Trump and the Republicans had done in their 4 years of the Locusts when Donald Trump had done everything in his power to tarnish and corrupt and compromise the Judiciary and the Supreme Court and the Rule of Law and to undermine Democracy by leading a Coup which nearly succeeded but for the patriotism of one man, the great Michael Pence and other patriots like Liz Cheney and Adam Kizzinger and few Republicans all over the country other than the MAGA irredentists and insurrectionists in the country who refused to look the other way to allow evil to triumph.
You can be sure that Donald Trump by his pronouncements is already preparing the ground for his foot soldiers not to accept the outcome of the next election, and to cause violence and bloodbath even if it turns out to be a landslide defeat for Trump and his MAGA crowd in November.
Kamala and Tim Walz and the Democrats are running a superb campaign which shows they now have a better grip on how to neutralize Donald Trump and his antics and bag of lies he wants to sell the country.
Very soon Donald Trump would start claiming that he was rigged out of his victory before the first vote was cast in the election.
He would claim he was winning in a landslide before Joe Biden had dropped out of the race and that the selection of a younger and better candidate ought not to make a difference because he lives in his own reality and foolhardiness and does not believe that any other American is better than him.
I knew that because he has threatened to file a motion before his Supreme Court to rule that Joe Biden once nominated could not take himself out of the race unless he dies.
Trump was still expecting the Supreme Court to rule in his favor and to summarily disqualify Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and to declare him the winner by default despite Kamala’s robust ground game in all of the 7 Swing States of America which determine who wins or loses the Electoral College contraption or decoy.
