Arsenal reportedly want to sign two specific players in the summer transfer window after their painful Champions League exit to Bayern Munich.

The Gunners crashed out in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, making it back-to-back defeats after they lost to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta has promised that Arsenal will be fully focused on the Premier League title race as they return to action against Wolves this weekend.

But they now needed Manchester City to slip-up in their last six games, with Pep Guardiola’s table-toppers having a two-point lead over the north Londoners.

If that doesn’t happen – Arsenal will finish the season with only the Community Shield as a trophy – and they are already planning ahead for the future.

According to The Guardian, Arsenal have put Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise on their wishlist for a new striker and winger.

Isak has become a ‘primary target’ for the Gunners, who heavily scouted the Sweden international before he joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022.

The 24-year-old forward has been in fine form this season, conjuring up 17 Premier League goals across 24 games.

Newcastle chief executive Darren Eales said in January that the Magpies may have to sell some players to comply with profit and sustainability rules (PSR).

Harry Redknapp recently likened Arsenal target Isak to club legend Thierry Henry following his ‘world class’ performance against Tottenham.

Arsenal will also target Palace star Olise, who is the subject of interest from a number of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from Selhurst Park last summer but ended up signing a new fresh deal with the south London side.

Olise has massively impressed since he arrived at Selhurst Park from Reading three years ago and there is set to be a fight for his signature this summer.
