The tragedy of Nigeria and why Vice President Yemi Osinbajo should have been the next President of Nigeria. By Wumi Akintide

The tragedy of Nigeria and why Nigerians like me cannot in good conscience ever forgive President Buhari for his senseless decision to dump his loyal and able Vice President for 8 years from becoming his automatic successor.

What did he do instead? The tribal Caliphate and his Party Chairman Adamu a lawyer and former Senator and Governor had instead initially settled for a consensus candidate in Ahmed Lawan, the former Senate President before grudgingly throwing their support to Ahmed Bola Tinubu because of the 14 Governors of the APC who had insisted the Presidency had to go to the Southwest.

But in their collective idiotcy, the APC finally settled for Tinubu who they know is very sick and senile and could predictably lose the election to allow another Fulani candidate in Atiku Abubakar to become Buhari’s successor, after all is said and done.

But the Almighty God we serve had put it in the minds of rational Nigerians to look for an alternative in the young and charismatic Peter Obi from the Southeast to thwart all of their efforts and conspiracy as the Lord liveth.

If it was Vice President Yemi Osinbajo that was nominated to succeed President Buhari, it would have been a cakewalk despite the abysmal performance of the APC under Buhari.

If you don’t believe me, just watch the video shown below for you to see the star qualities of Professor Yemi Osinbajo and why he would have been the best experienced and the most competent candidate to succeed Buhari and to take Nigeria to the promised land.

If Ahmed Bola Tinubu, no disrespect to him, is the one called upon to deliver the off the shelf in in promptu” speech captured in the video you are about to watch, he would have a heart attack and his audience would be embarrassed beyond description, given his present condition and state of mind.

If he had run for President when he ran for Governor or Senator representing Lagos State, he would have made a head way as a political strategist per excellence but not now in my own candid opinion. He is just not up to it now because of a huge decline in his health and state of mind.

I could be wrong as a licensed and certified Clinician in the United States, but that is my own informed opinion and I am not shy to express it for whatever it may be worth this late in the game.

I rest my case.
