The Management Icon, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi At 65!! Outpour of tributes…

On Tuesday, 25th October 1955 two major events happened in Ilesa. First and most major, the flam-buoyant, charismatic, ebullient, more popular than the ruling father-king, Crown Prince (Awe Owa) Omooba Adeniran Aromolaran passed on! His life and time in Ijesaland earned him that sobriquet “ Owa e ni ‘sokun, oosha l’owa l’aafin” Literally means the Prince that lives kingly, royally, and majestically resides in Isokun( the royal house location) while the father-king living in the Palace was a mere symbol of office.

The second event was the birth of Lington Olayinka Fasuyi in Ilesa that same day. Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi was born in Ilesa on the 25th October 1955 to late Chief Jacob Olowookere Fasuyi and late Madam Felicia Sijuwola Fasuyi, both successful business merchants during their lifetime. He later enrolled at the University of Ibadan, where he bagged his first degree in Economics in 1982/83. For his National Youth Service, he served at Yelwa Government Secondary School, Yola. Thereafter, he first worked as a tutor at Queens’ College, Onike-Yaba Lagos between 1984 and 1985.

He joined Total Nigeria Plc in 1985 as a marketing executive where he worked for seven years before voluntarily resigning ( a feat that was unprecedented in the company) in 1992. Congratulatory messages to Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi

Ayinla oko Segi, Olowo ori mi, Ololufe mi owon, Happy Birthday my darling husband!

It is hard to believe, we have been married for almost thirty-one years (it would be 31 years in less than a month, November 18th to be precise). We have been through a lot, but our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has seen us through different phases of the journey and has shown us His unexplainable grace, favour and mercy. The children, Faramola, Jojolola, Omoloro and Olatipe are all sources of immense joy and they have all grown into brag worthy ladies and gentleman. We have also gained two additional children, Demilade and Okezi who continually give us reasons to magnify the name of God, they are actually children worth a lot more than their weight in gold. Our small consultancy business has grown beyond our anticipation and the comprehension of many of our peers. The years of partnership at home and at work are filled with varying degrees of memories, and we have weathered and continue to weather the storm in ways I can never fathom, but to the glory of our ever faithful God.

Your commitment to excellence is unparalleled, although I sometimes don’t agree with some of your actions, leadership styles and approaches, no one can accuse you of being laid back. You have always been an enterprising person, you set goals that would cause mere mortals shiver and this has always been true in our personal and business relationship. Your positivity is highly infectious, you often see the glass ‘half full’ and always choose to see the possibility in every seemingly impossible situation. Truth be told, it is hard to find someone with your sense/spirit of, “I can do it”.

Your commitment to Ijesaland, your motherland is definitely worthy of emulation. The way you engineered the process to resolve the IBEDC imbroglio in Ilesa is still a marvel.  It beats my imagination, how you initiated the building of a modern palace for the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran. The way you have been able to mobilize Ijesa’s to contribute to the Owa’s Palace fund, and the incomparable and unmatched response from illustrious Ijesa sons and daughters speaks volume of your leadership qualities. Building, the palace, without any public fund raising or elaborate launching in ONE YEAR is a brag worthy achievement. Initiating and spearheading the building of Owa Obokun’s palace in ONE YEAR WITH THE ATTENDANT BACKLASH OF COVID-19 EPIDEMIC IS UNRIVALLED. You committed funds that were needed for the family business into the initiative, you actively, intentionally and doggedly put your time, experience, intellect, osomaalo training and tremendous goodwill into achieving this laudable project. The strategies you consistently come up with, to ensure enough fund is generated to complete the palace, would make even the greatest scholar from any of the Ivy League Colleges green with envy. This project has brought to fore, your huge acceptance among the respected and highly placed Ijesa’s, your peers, and the entire Ijesa community. It was a delight to hear the highly positive comments of many of the highly revered Ijesa sons, whenever you try to downplay the importance of your decision to champion the Owa Palace initiative  and the money raised so far. One particular response from a foremost Ijesa son resonated with me, when he said, “You truly deserve the title Asiwaju. Very few people can accomplish what you have achieved so far. The money you have raised so far is based on people’s perception of your integrity and your wide acceptance by the elderly and the young ones. Ijesa’s would never put down their money for a cause like this, especially with the failed attempts in the past if they don’t trust you”.

Asiwaju, you have always been a trail blazer, while the Owa’s Palace Project was still ongoing, without any prompting, based on your perception of the wide ranging long standing challenges regarding the God given natural resources in Ijesaland, you initiated and spearheaded the formation of the Ijesa Mineral Resources Development Forum, a nongovernmental community initiative to, facilitate continuous stakeholders’ engagement for operating mining activities in a safe, secured and environmentally friendly manner, with overall socioeconomic benefits to all parties. Your contribution to the eradication of poverty and achievement of quality education in Ijesaland through the Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi foundation (AYFF) has motivated other people to replicate our model in varying degrees. The unity you have engendered among our traditional rulers throughout Ijesaland could only have been achieved by a true Asiwaju, which brought to mind the statement by another, prominent Ijesa daughter, when she opined that,

“Baba Kabiyesi, truly got it right when he honoured you with the Asiwaju title”

Olayinka Lington Ayinla, omo oke baba Okuta, olowo ori, Olubisi Olufunke Segilola ana Olubamowo ni Odogbolu, continue to soar, you have brought great honour to the Fasuyi and Farinloye dynasties. You will continually have reasons to praise God and to be celebrated. Despite your colossal accomplishments, my prayer is that the zenith of our combined accomplishments, will be the beginning of our children’s achievement in Jesus mighty name. Abraham was great (Genesis 18:8), Isaac was very great (Genesis 26:12-13), and, Jacob was exceedingly great (Genesis 30:43), we are the offspring of Abraham, this shall be our story in Jesus mighty name.

I love you, honour you in all ways, and respect you more than you can ever imagine!

Baba Asiwaju, now that you are sixty-five, pele pele o, jeje legun agba n jo oo!

A se ore arawa ka le o loruko Jesu.

Happy Birthday! Emi a s’opo e o

Apart from binding us to our earthly families, a more important function of our name is that it defines who we are. It is said that the ultimate triumph of every human being is to live to the full meaning of their name.

“DADDY ASIWAJU OLAYINKA”: surrounded by wealth, good health, family, success. Your life flawlessly conveys the meaning of your name to all non-Yoruba speaking people.

My wish for you today is that all that you have worked so hard to build will continue to grow and flourish. Happy birthday Daddy. Igba odun, odun kan.

On behalf of my family and myself, I rejoice with Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi (The CC) on your 65th Birthday.

You deserve every happiness and accolade on this day because of your sterling qualities of leadership and management sagacity which are worthy of emulation.

I m proud to learn from you. You are truly an inspiration.

May the Almighty God who had seen you through all ups and downs of life, keep you in good health always and may his grace remain with you always. Happy birthday and many happy returns of the day my CC. –Suleiman Danjuma

I recall that the  first meeting between my humble self and Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi was during my public service years as the Press Secretary to the four(1 civilian and 3 military)Governors of the old Oyo State(present Oyo and Osun States),whom I had the fortune of serving, between 1983 and 1989.

When I crossed over to the Odu’a Investment Company Limited,as the conglomerate’s pioneer Public Affairs Manager,it automatically followed that the boss of the SUPREME MANAGEMENT  CONSULTANCY GROUP and I found a firmer corporate meeting point.

Sometime in 1986,or thereabout,Asiwaju had attended a state function, and one could not but notice the future star,by his prim and proper turnout, comportment, intelligence, and, wait for it,his wit and the trademark boisterous laughter.

As the years went by,we were on each other family’s protocol lists.Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi,MFR and King Sunny Ade,MFR are another rallying-points for us. Asiwaju Fasuyi  is,needless to say,a pious, hardworking,self-assured and fair-minded entrepreneur, lover and promoter of the time-honored Yoruba tradition and culture. This is the confluence(the  Ibadan and Ijesa flows) where we both bond,as in bond.

I congratulate you, dear Asiwaju,on your birthday,as I pray for many happy returns of the day.

-My humble self,Oloye ‘Lekan Alabi and Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi,at one  his birthday parties in the 1990s,in Ibadan,Oyo State.

I am particularly happy to join family members and admirers all over the world to celebrate the grace of the Almighty God in your life as you mark your 65th birthday.

Great men are born, not made. It has been a lifetime experience since l know you and that we have been friends that you are going to be great.

We talked, reflected and dreamt about our future as a daily blue-shirted Sales Representative in the then Total Nigeria Plc and we concluded that we can even do it better than our employer through our hard work, determination, resilience, value, focus and God given talents. Supreme Management Consultants and Ibadan Business School conceived, owned, nurtured and run by you today confirmed our enablement.

Aside from the pursuit of career, you never lacked in the social circle.

Your Installation as ASIWAJU OF ILESA and BALOGUN of Ijebu -jesha have brought recognition and developments to Ijesa land.

I am excited with your mobilization of Ijesa people on infrastructural developments and bringing the local contents to the natural resources of Gold mining in Ijesa land.

Your love for Ijesa land with award of scholarships to students through THE ASIWAJU YINKA

FASUYI FOUNDATION, fellowship you now have with the paramount rulers of the various

communities in Ijesa land reflect your values, commitment as well as your vision and sincere ideas to ensure further prosperity and equal opportunities for all.

You have worked hard for the level you have attained in life and you have equally worked hard for the peace and unity of Ijesa land in an unprecedented manner.

Ordinarily, a man who spreads himself across so many fields of human endeavours and enterprises could be forgiven if he is contented with average performance across the whole gamut but not for Yinka “OKO  OMOWE” Yeye Bisi.

Anybody close to him will not but marvel at sheer intensity of his passion for excellence in virtually everything he engages in.

Yinka, l conclude that you have been an exemplar of hardwork and success, a model of leadership and a torch-bearer for Go-Getters.

You are celebrated.

Yours Always Tunde Falasinnu.
Former General Manager, Total Oil Nig.. PLC
Former Managing Director, African Petroleum PLC. Chairman, T-Exclusive Hotel

It is a great pleasure to have met Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi. Although we live in the same estate in Ilesa and belong to the same Omofe Youth Christian Association of the Holy Trinity Church Cathedral  Ilesa, I became attracted to him after I saw the exemplary role he played during the electricity crisis in Ilesa. He was so outstanding and handled the crisis with so much maturity and dedication, spending his money and time in the service of his fatherland.

Also worthy of mention is his role in the ongoing Owa of Ijesaland Palace Project. He singlehandedly conceived the idea of building an ultra-modern Palace befitting of the status of our paramount ruler.  He rallied notable patriotic Ijesa sons and daughters for the project. The response is so encouraging mainly because of the trust of our people in him knowing that he would handle the project transparently. It is heartwarming to note that today, just after 8 months of award of contract for the construction, the Palace is nearing completion. He is indeed God’s gift to Ijesaland and if we can get only about five people of his type in Ijesaland with patriotism and passion for our fatherland, Ijesaland will take its rightful place, not only in Yoruba land but also in the whole country. He carried his campaign for a united Ijesaland to Ijèsàs in diaspora visiting many countries of the world.

He positively touched many lives through humanitarian activities and scholarship awards to poor and needy students etc . He is straight forward, hardworking, firm, highly principled and an achiever that I see as a role model to many.

He is a philanthropic socialite, a man of class, taste and a power dresser that is not easily lost in the crowd. He stands tall in any endeavour he finds himself in – management,  education,  tradition and culture as he throws his whole being into it. Asiwaju is an accomplished Nigerian with a drive towards excellence and integrity.

His sterling qualities as an unassuming team player endear him to all, both young and old, including my humble self. Asiwaju is friendly,  warm, charming and highly respectful. He is very much appreciated for his drive, commitment to the success of people and community growth. It is my prayer that Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, his wife Yèyé Asiwaju and his entire household will be graced with many more fruitful years in GOOD HEALTH, wealth and happiness.

Mr. & Mrs.  Iyiola Faniyi

Chairman, Rest Park & Gardens, Ilesa.

It is my pleasure to write this tribute in honour of Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi at 65. I have known Asiwaju Fasuyi since childhood but intimately in the last 15 years. He has demonstrated himself as a committed Ijesa son with an unquantifiable affection for education and human capital development. A family man to the core, he is a philanthropist of the highest order. His continuous investment in the education of younger ones particularly in Ijesaland has endeared him to me. He chose to invest in the future of Nigeria without a political agenda. This makes him unique and outstanding. He is sowing the seeds of prosperity, development and security in Ijesaland . He gives back as a duty, generously and without fatigue. His annual Award Ceremony which commenced in 2017 has offered scholarship to over 650 students from all public secondary schools across the six local government areas of Ijesaland.  His latest project is his leadership role in the construction of an ultra-modern palace for the Owa Adimula of Ijesaland. He initiated fund raising for the project among prominent Ijesas with uncommon devotion. The mega project which will cost about N250million is due for commissioning at the end of this year.

I warmly congratulate him on his 65th birthday anniversary and wish him many more years of glorified service to Ijesaland in particular and Nigeria in general.

Since our paths crossed a few years ago, the connection, the chemistry between us has been evident of a friendship made in heaven. You have surely made many of impressions on me and I celebrate you on this auspicious occasion of your 65th birthday.

Celebrating your birthday should be the main thing you do today and I honour you on this day with the specialty of the Balogun of Egboro land. You mean so much to us, and there is so much we would love to do, but most of all we want to say, Happy Birthday, Asiwaju!

When the Owa Obokun Adimula installed you as the Asiwaju, he must have caught a vision of the future. Today, you are a frontier for peace, unity and development in Ijesa land. You are an architect of modern Ijesa land and you have since been at the forefront for the  actualisation of a united Ijesa land.

You are a fashionista extraordinaire, gorgeous and elegant in every sense. You have added great value to the traditional institution across Ijesa land. A custodian of tradition, you have been a great influence on the old and a passionate inspiration to the younger generation. It is my earnest prayer that your smile gets brighter with each passing year while wishing you a lot of surprises and happiness on your 65th Birthday. Count your life by smiles not tears, count your age by friends not years.

Happy birthday my dear Asiwaju, the Balogun of Ijebu-Jesa.

-HRM Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye
Abikehin-Ekun Agunsoye ll Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa

It was William Shakespeare that said “some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them”.

To have these three categorisations embedded in a single individual is a rarity.

Olayinka was born with a “silver spoon” in his mouth and so could be considered “born great”.

His dear father was a renowned merchant with considerable wealth as well as being a community leader.

Omo Fasuyi achieved greatness by dint of hard work and focal doggedness. The Supreme Management Training and Consultancy Services Ltd and Ibadan Business School are clear manifestations of achieved greatness.

When Olayinka was installed the Asiwaju of Ilesa on Oct 22 2016, a new Vista of greatness was thrust upon him.

As Asiwaju, he became a veritable rallying point for Ijesa unity; the promotion of education for the less privileged Secondary School students; community value development and extractive industry relevance.

A well read Consultancy guru with a string of Masters degrees Olayinka is an Elephant of some sort. HE NEVER FORGETS.

Particularly those, who in the 65 years of his existence, have played one role or the other in his emergence as the man of substance and esteem that we are celebrating today. A committed family man, we celebrate his “jewel of inestimable value” Yeye Dr Olubisi and the children for providing the conducive home environment for Asiwaju to blossom. As we celebrate him, we know that he still has very many years of service to GOD and humanity.

GOD ALMIGHTY shall bless him with good health and abundant resources to remain the reference point for value addition and relevance to humanity.

Edumare fun wa l’olu omo

Edumare fun wa l’olu omo

Olu omo ma nda wa l’orun o Edumare fun wa l’olu omo.

This song encapsulates what Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi means to us, the Ijesa people.

Where does one start to enumerate the gigantic steps taken by Asiwaju to bring unity to our land?

He has done so much in this regard that today Ijesa people all over are more united than ever.

Humble, articulate, endowed with enviable leadership qualities,  Yinka can be truly referred to as a unifier per excellence.

The most beautiful palace for the Owa Obokun is presently under construction, almost completed and will surely rank among the best palaces in Yoruba land. It is his unwavering commitment and leadership that have brought this about.

He reached out to most Ijesa sons and daughters who did not hesitate to contribute towards the construction of this great edifice because of Asiwaju’s personality and antecedent. Our confidence in him is total and as all can see, he has headed a performing team who has brought this about.

My family joins me to wish our dear son and brother a very happy 65th birthday and many happy returns in good health, joy, long life and prosperity. God bless your new age as we eagerly look forward to the next challenge you shall conquer after the palace is completed and handed over in the coming months in Jesus Name.

It’s with pleasure and admiration that I accepted the honour to prepare a script on life and accomplishment of a Noble Gentleman.

Olayinka Fasuyi the Proprietor of the Acclaimed Ibadan Business School, Asiwaju of ILESA,

Balogun of IJEBU-IJESA has such an entrepreneurial spirit, uncommon in his generation. The Ijesa community has enjoyed a full advantage of his enormous generosity in terms of scholarship and landmark physical developments. He is an advocate of community enlightenment and development. In his words, “The control of natural endowment by host communities is non-negotiable”.

He Had struck such a chord of friendship and trust with Obas and Chiefs in Ijesaland to an extent that a proposal to upgrade his title to Asiwaju of Ijesaland would be gladly welcome. My only problem with Asiwaju is that he does not factor in mediocrity in his planning. Maybe with time, he would realize that we cannot all be as witted or gifted as God has endowed him. It has been an immense pleasure for me to admire his activities at close range. Moreover may God grant him all his heart’s desires.

I cannot fail to say thank you to Yeye Asiwaju (Dr.) Olubisi Fasuyi for being a backbone to her husband and for her gracious and graceful hospitality at all times.

-Chief Akin Akinola

have shown “that the impossible is a little more difficult than the difficult.”

I ended my tribute at your 60th birthday that “the best is yet to come” Looking at the trajectory of your accomplishments 5 years after, I was indeed right. Apart from professional accomplishments, business expansion, recognitions in social circles, Asiwaju has transformed to a community leader and a philanthropist of note. Your exemplary leadership as Asiwaju of Ilesa continues to reverberate within and outside Ijesa communities. I want to say again without equivocation, THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

A toast to Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi at 65:  a dependable friend, consultants of consultants, teacher extraordinaire, successful businessman, workaholics, jolly good fellow, bridge builder, mobiliser of men, born leader, great thinker, visionary and above all. a committed family man, I say happy birthday and may the coming years continue to attract unlimited success, divine health and grace from the Almighty to march on with your service to God and humanity.  I am proud of you and may God bless your new age.

Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi @65

I felicitate with my friend and brother, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, as he clocks 65.  I met Yinka several years ago but we started relating significantly when it became apparent that we were like minds. As our struggles constantly takes us to Abuja at different times I discovered we had common friends in  Femi Oye a family friend and  World bank Consultant and Tunji Olaopa a technocrat who both became very useful to us while navigating the maze of govt agencies and bureaucrats that Yinka had to link up with in respect of his burgeoning training consultancy business and my own struggle to acquire license to establish a university. Indeed our friends jocularly referred to us as “Teachers with a difference” apparently because they felt we shared frightening dreams. Our paths had crossed earlier on while he was a graduate student in  Obafemi Awolowo University  Ife where i was a lecturer. I  remember him making fun about my being all  covered up with white chalk dust as i was coming out of a class room  about to be used by his class  group.  I responded that it was  the fault of

the university that provided us with locally made  chalk which smears you as you write on the board.  That’s Yinka for you. Ever so jovial. Our relationship blosommed   later when he had fully established his consultancy institution in Bodja Ibadan where I also began a  Distance Learning Educational consultancy outfit   preparatory to the establishment of  a fully licenced university. By then he too had already extended his training consultancy from  local to international  training  programmes. Thus professionaly we spoke the same language  and quietly we shared battle front  experiences  with   host communities in the diferent parts of Ibadan where each  one of us was struggling to plant our edifices for  education and training.   Besides we shared cultural  afinities  as  ”osomalos”. We are both members of the prestigious Ijesha Felates Club, the Silver Knights Club of which i am the current  Club Chief and the Ibadan Recreation Club   where i refer to him as “afobaje”. A constant participant in  Asiwaju’s numerous  indoor and outdoor social events, local and international  jolifications.  My wife and i  often marvel at his boundless  energy   for  celebrations. He would throw an exclusive dinner or an all night party  to  celebrate himself,  his wife, Children even  siblings  at the earliest opportunities.  I had followed him  all the way to London to celebrate his sister’s 50th birthday. Ditto for his Associates.  When am not with him calebrating a visiting academic or bussiness partner of his we would be on his lawn  welcoming a new  GOC of 2 Div or an outgoing Commissioner of Police. We had celebrated two successful Vice Chacellors and a Federal Minister on that same lawn. A great lover  of power dressing (to a fault),  good music and Trophy Larger beer. His home always transform into  a beehive of jolifications  on such ocassions with him and his wife Yeye Asiwaju Olubisi  entertaining  colleagues and  friends  with  unrelenting  gusto.

Very hard working and meticulous with officialdom and leisure alike,  Asiwaju Yinka

Fasuyi would be the one to think of contracting  King Sunny Ade or the other juju maestro Ebenezar Obe  just to entertain himself and a handfull of friends at a palour party .  At the same time, he never suffers   fools gladly  when presiding  over the  affairs of Supreme Management  Consultants. Besides,  Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi’s  extremely generous disposition towards his ancestral home of Ilesha is unparalleled. He is ever   so  committed  to uplifting  the  livelihood of folks   in his place of origin,  where he is noticeably  in the forefront of every  struggles pertaining to improving the town and its social infrastructures. When he is not paying school fees or buying  WAEC and JAMB forms  for local urchins he is resolving conflicts either among  traditioner rulers  or  between intinerant youths and the inneficient electricity power company over incessant power cuts in Ilesha. Another time, my friend would  leave his desk  to go  slugging it out with  some  foreign  Artisanal miners trying to cheat ijesha people of their gold and other mineral resources.  All these selfless  efforts  earned him the  recognition and traditional  title of Asiwaju by  the Owa Obokun  Adimula of Ijesaland who rewarded him with the enviable title of Ashiwaju which i know he cherishes heartily. He actually wanted me to bag a similar title in Ibokun, as we are from the same  area knowing quite well that i can be very hedgy about such matters. I was not even surprised  when the traditioner ruler of my own town – the Ogboni of Ibokun whispered to me that i should thank  my friend for constantly “extending  hand”  to him.  The more reason why a man of limited means like me must know  when to dodge  the Ashiwaju  without offending him.  After all he is blessed with boundless joviality and forgiving spirit. Upon all these he comes across as  a God fearing  cultured  gentleman. Always with his beautiful and  supportive  Olubisi (Yeye Asiwaju)  by his side even on ocassions   “tiwon ni kama muyawo dani” at home and abroad.   Together they are blessed with wonderful children.

As he clocks 65, I pray that the Lord grant him many more happy years in  prosperity and  good health  with children and grand children surrounding his table.

Tribute to my Oga and Mentor-Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi.

I am highly  excited  and thankful to  God that my beloved and compassionate  oga is 65 years old .

He is a man I cherished  so much since I came in contact  with him 28years ago. I started  my working  career with  him, he thought  me diligence,  hardwork, how to set goals, life of confidence and positive  mindedness.  He is  man who leads by example , exceptional  in character and always eager to have you succeed.  I will  never forget  how he propelled  me into  academics  and his personal  involvement  when I was to start  my PhD . He  will  always  say “Niyi , am proud of you” a highly loaded statement  that  reminds me all the time that someone is   there full of expectations  from me.

Oga, may you live long in good health and  joy. As your days so shall your strength.  Your will live to enjoy  blessings  from those you have blessed.Amen. Professor  Olaniyi Okunlola

It is my greatest honour and privilege to offer this tribute to my erudite mentor, teacher and destiny helper. Asiwaju Olayinka Lington Fasuyi is a mentor of note who is committed to the growth and development of his protégés, a consummate trailblazer and pathfinder. He took exceptional interest in his protégés. His tutelage, though invigorating, demanding and tasking due to his goal-getting personality, instilled in me a lifelong impetus for commitment, diligence and excellence. For Asiwaju, impossibility does not exist as he consistently explores and delivers new and creative approaches to problems solving.

I got my first professional job at his organization, Supreme Management Training and Consultancy Services Limited, wherein I started my career as a management consultant. He gave me a lead role in a new job and built up the confidence in me for excellence. The experiences garnered on the job fueled the passion to follow in his footsteps. My stellar sojourn at the organization exemplified and affirmed his fatherly role in my life. Not only has Asiwaju Fasuyi remained a father to me, but he has also been a loving mentor to my family.

Asiwaju Fasuyi is a fulfilled family man, blessed with the amazing ability to effectively manage the homefront excellently well and exceptionally navigate the highly demanding management consulting and training terrain. He has etched his footprints on the training and consulting world with the flagship of Ibadan Business School. He is a father worthy of emulation, a pathfinder.

As I reflect on the glorious opportunity for Asiwaju to celebrate another year, albeit a unique one as he clocks 65, I searched diligently for the best of words to describe his qualities. I am reminded by the agelong belief that retirement begins at 65. However, for my distinguished mentor, I am confident to say that, life indeed starts at 65. I am cocksure of his ability to continually chat new courses and landmarks for his proteges and others to follow, as he effortlessly workout novel areas to impact lives and bring joy to the faces of all and sundry.

I pray Asiwaju Olayinka Lington Fasuyi’s life be blessed with perfect health, unending wealth and unquantifiable lifelong impact on humanity, as he brings joy and hopes to the world.

I remain eternally grateful to God for the rare privilege to be your mentee.

Cheers to many more glorious years…
