The corpse of a young girl identified as Ruth was found on Sunday in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
The corpse of the young girl was found at a ‘car wash’ after a filling station near Farin Bridge I in the Jos Local Government Area.
According to a source, the deceased was alleged to have been raped and stabbed to death.
The source added that a scuffle had ensued between her and her assailants before she was killed.
He explained that the girl’s corpse was dumped after being murdered in an unknown place.
He added security agents were deployed in the area to avoid an ethno-religious crisis brewing among the youths due to the incident.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Plateau State Command, Alabo Alfred, could not be reached to confirm the incident.
