Liborous Oshoma, a legal practitioner, has advised the military to be more professional in the actions being taken following the soldiers killed in Okuama Community.

He said the military had identified the perpetrators they should desist from cordoning off the area.

In an interview with Arise TV, Oshoma said that given that the army had already identified General Amagbein, a militant leader, as one of those responsible for the attack on the soldiers, they should allow law-abiding citizens to continue their normal activities instead of shutting down the entire village.

Also, he emphasized the importance of following legal procedures, even when dealing with militants, stating that there are established protocols for prosecution.

In Oshoma’s words: “You have identified that the man involved is General Amagbein, allow others who have their lawful duties to go about their normal activities instead of just shutting down the entire village. And then there are pictures and videos of people killed extra-judicially. Even if they are militants, there are procedures for prosecution”
