The Federal Government has sacked the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Capt Rabiu Yadudu and five other top officials in the aviation sector.
The shake-up is coming a few days before the inauguration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.
An industry source, who spoke with THEWILL, hinted that Yadudu had been relieved of his duties and Kabiru Yusuf Mohammed, has been appointed as the new Managing Director.
“From the look of things, the Federal Government has removed MD FAAN and Directors and have brought Kabiru Yusuf Mohammed as MD,” the source said.
Yadudu, a former Director of Airport Operations, FAAN, succeeded Engr. Saleh Dunouma, who was also removed in 2019.
Meanwhile, Mr Mohammed is expected to resume duty next week.
