Serge Gnabry’s contract talks at Bayern Munich are making little progress as he is linked with a move away from the German giants this summer.
The 26-year-old is out of contract in Bavaria in 2023 and talks over a new deal continue to falter, according to Sky Germany, which makes a summer exit a possibility.
This comes as Sadio Mane finds himself in a similar situation at Liverpool, which Bayern have been linked with taking advantage of.
The Senegalese forward is also out of contract in 2023, and Mane is reportedly frustrated that there has been little done over extending his deal with the Reds focussing on keeping hold of Mohamed Salah beyond next year.
Liverpool do not appear to have any intention of selling the 30-year-old, but Bayern are keen to pounce on his contract situation and make a move for him this summer.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met with Mane’s agent at the weekend and is keen to bring in the experienced forward as their biggest signing of the summer.
Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann spoke recently of Gnabry’s situation, admitting that he could be on the move.
‘I have known Serge for ages and have a good relationship with him,’ said Nagelsmann. ‘He’s been very hard-working in the past few weeks and has been one of the most striking players.
‘Of course, I would like to keep him, but it’s not always easy — many parties play a role.’
Salihamidzic added: ‘We try to offer everyone the best, but we also have limits,” Bayern Munich’s sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic said.
‘We have had many conversations and we will have more. I like Serge a lot, the boy is great, and I would be happy if he stayed, but right now everything is up in the air.’
