The Senate on Wednesday condemned in strong terms the murder of Chalya Silas, a serving Corps member in Kaduna State.
Adopting a motion sponsored by Senator Napoleon Bali (Plateau South), the Senate noted with grief the gruesome murder of the 24-year-old National Youth Service Corps member on October 18, 2023.
Silas, the only child of her widowed mother was stabbed by hoodlums during an early morning exercise in Kaduna where she was on a one-year of mandatory service.
