An un-identified security guard, thst was shot on Sunday,is dead. He died from the bullets from suspected armed robbers that invaded a branch of the Chicken Republic on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.
Report had it that when the armed robbers stormed the eatery, the workers, customers and residents around the premises were thrown into a panic due to gunshots they heard, as it was also reported that they carted away some valuables but, did not attack customers who witnessed the operation.
However, an eyewitness, who was close to the scene of the incident, narrated what he experienced during the robbery, as he said he was just coming from church service when he heard a gunshot.
He said, “I was driving by after church service, then suddenly I heard a gunshot. I saw people running out of the restaurant. I did not exactly know what happened in there. It seemed that I also saw a body on the floor through the entrance.
