Former Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o has been filmed kneeing a man in the head during an altercation after Brazil’s 4-1 victory over South Korea at the World Cup.

Eto’o is currently the president of Cameroon’s Football Association and is also one of Qatar’s ‘legacy ambassadors’ for the tournament.

The incident occurred outside the 974 Stadium in Doha on Monday night as Eto’o confronted a man who was filming him while he posed for selfies with fans.

The 41-year-old was quickly angered after a brief exchange with the man holding the camera and needed to be restrained during the verbal confrontation.

Eto’o began to chase the man, who continued to back away, before he was held back.

After they were separated, Eto’o was seen giving his phone for someone to hold, while a member of his entourage attempted to grab the camera from the man.

Eto’o then broke free from the two men restraining him and attacked the man with the camera by kneeing him in the side of the head.

The former striker, who played for several top clubs across Europe including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter and Chelsea, was then led away by members of his entourage.

Meanwhile, the man with the camera was able to get to his feet and walked in the opposite direction.
