Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player to score in 23 consecutive seasons.

Ronaldo scored his first goal of the 2024/2025 season as they beat Al Taawoun 2-0 in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

The Portugal captain doubled their lead after Ayman Ahmed opened the scoring in the eighth minute.

Ronaldo slammed the ball home inside the area following a cutback from Sultan Al Ghanam.

With the goal, Ronaldo became the first player in recorded football history to score at least one goal in 23 consecutive seasons.

The record dates back to the 39-year-old’s first two career senior goals, as he scored a brace for his boyhood club Sporting CP against Moreirense on October 7, 2002.

Last season, Ronaldo scored 35 goals in the league alone to break the league’s single-season scoring record. He added 11 assists to that as well, registering 46 total goal contributions in just 31 league appearances.
