Argentine captain, Lionel Messi, led his country to a victory at the Mundial, their first victory in 36 years. Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties in the most electrifying World Cup final match last Sunday.

We go back to review some of the highlights of the just-concluded World Cup in this video.

The World Cup could not be held in the summer in Qatar because of the intense heat, and was consequently moved towards the end of the year when the temperature is cooler and more accommodating.

Also, Messi’s World Cup post became the most-liked picture on Instagram. For Nigeria, music star, Davido, performed at the World Cup closing ceremony, his first show after the death of his son and that was a big deal for Nigerians all over the globe.
