Mrs Esther Modupe Olajide wife of retired Bishop Gideon Olajide is dead. She passed on to glory during a brief illness at University College Hospital UCH. on Thursday 26 January 2023.
Newspot learned that she was hale and hearty 24 hours before her death.
A family source said on Wednesday 25 January 2023, she accompanied her husband of more than 50 years to UCH for Papa’s routine medical check up . But no sooner they got home than Mama started feeling uncomfortable. She was thereafter rushed to UCH and gave up the ghost on Thursday morning .
Papa Olajide’ has been receiving scores of sympathizers with stoic silence. Among early callers were Archbishops, Bishops, priests and laity. more especially wives of pastors.
A close member of the family said: ” Mama’s death will no doubt be too heavy for Papa to bear because the two, since they were married had been inseparable. I only pray that God should grant Papa the fortitude to bear the loss.
