Rename LASU after Jakande, family urges Sanwo-Olu

Seyi Jakande, the son of the former Governor of Lagos State, Lateef Jakande, has urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to rename the Lagos State University, Ojoo, after his father.

Seyi, who spoke on Monday at the Lateef Jakande Annual Memorial Lecture, 2023, organised by the Nigerian Guild of Editors, said LASU was the brain child of his late father.

“I want Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to revisit the discussion (of renaming LASU after Jakande),” Seyi said at the event held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.
