An economic expert has asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reform the Central Bank of Nigeria and other critical agencies to restore confidence in the country’s economy.
According to NAN, Mr Bismarck Rewane, the chief executive officer of Financial Derivatives, disclosed this at the Arbiterz Conference themed “The Naira: Paths to Institutional Reforms and Accelerated Growth” on Thursday in Lagos.
He said there is a need for changes and institutional reforms to address the country’s economic woes.
“To restore confidence in the economy, there must be reforms in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Central Bank of Nigeria, Federal Inland Revenue Service, and others almost simultaneously,” he stated.
Newspot recalls that last month, Tinubu appointed Jim Obazee as a special investigator to probe the activities of CBN.
