Reports of the Synod of the Diocese of Abuja will not be complete without mentioning the presence of the immediate past Archbishop of the diocese Most Rev Nicholas Okoh who made his first public appearance after his decade of primacy ended on 25 March 2020. He attended the four days event with his wife Mrs Nkasiobi.
In his charge the Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of all Nigeria Most Revd Henry Ndukuba paid glowing tribute to Most Revd Okoh by thanking God for healing him from a life threatening illness.
Primate Ndukuba’s tribute reads:
“We stand in awe and praise to God Almighty for the great things He has done in the life of Archbishop Nicholas D. Okoh. Shortly after his retirement, Baba Okoh took ill and was severely tried but God stood by him, delivered and healed him. He is in this Synod to share in fellowship with the Church of God. Baba, you will testify to the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. We rejoice with you and give thanks to the Almighty God. We appreciate the Archbishops and Bishops for your prayers and support. Thank all Clergy and members of the Diocese of Abuja for your prayers and support.”
